What A Party!

Being a part of The Hart School's Production of Andrew Lippa's "Wild Party" was an experience that I will never forget. The show was directed and choreographed by Todd Underwood, and it was a dance heavy production that really allowed us to experiment with movement and expression.

As part of the ensemble, I played the role of Sam, a Producer scouting out “New Talent”. The show itself was a forced you to create a character that had a connection the rest of the party guest. Making a detailed backstory, to give realness while being on stage the whole show.

One of the things that I really appreciated about Todd Underwood's direction and choreography was the way that he encouraged us to push the boundaries of traditional dance. He encouraged us to think outside the box and to find new and creative ways to express ourselves through movement.

In particular, I really enjoyed the experimental expression of movement that was used throughout the high-energy dance numbers. We were given the freedom to try out new and unusual movements, and this really helped to bring the characters and the story to life.

Overall, being a part of The Hart School's Production of "Wild Party" was a wild experience. It was a chance to see my classmates work on piece of challenging theatre. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who is looking for a unique theater experience. Whether you are a fan of dance, music, or just want to be transported to a different view of the 20s. It was a great experience for me to be a part of this show and I am really thankful to Todd Underwood for giving me this opportunity.
