Anything Goes!

Updated: Dec 22, 2022

As a member of The Hart School's production of Cole Porter's "Anything Goes," I have been fortunate enough to be part of something truly special. Not only have I had the chance to perform in a classic show, but I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with some extremely talented individuals.

The show was directed by the renowned Michael O'Flaherty of the Goodspeed Opera House, and the choreography was expertly handled by Ronnie Bowman, who is currently starring in "Music Man" on Broadway. It was an incredible experience to have the opportunity to work with these professionals and I feel grateful to have learned so much from them.

In the show, I play the roles of the Real Reverend and a Sailor. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to showcase my tap skills. As a sailor, I had the exciting privilege of starting the show. There's nothing quite like being the first thing the audience sees. The orchestra starts, you're in your place, and the curtain rises. One night, the audience's roar was so loud that we could hardly hear the orchestra!

One of the highlights of the show for me was performing the iconic tap number, "Anything Goes." It's such a classic song and features a thrilling tap break that is fast-paced and energetic.

Overall, being a part of The Hart School's production of "Anything Goes" has been an unforgettable experience. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to perform in such a classic show and to work with such talented individuals. I'm excited to see what the future holds and can't wait to see where my love of theater takes me next.
